Lovedale is a working farm that has bred swakara sheep for decades, about 19 km from Helmeringhausen and a short track off the C27 towards Sossusvlei, reachable in any vehicle. Guests can join farm drives, walk an aloe trail near the farmstead and look for birds and game in the surrounding veld, and the farm tours are best during the lambing seasons. The farm is known mainly for its self-catering units, so phone ahead to arrange camping before you arrive.
