About
Camp Gecko is a private nature reserve on the D1275 gravel road, about 15 km from the Spreetshoogte Pass on the edge of the Namib. Its three campsites, Eagle, Moonlight and Hilltop, are spread out on a hill and look over the plains and waterholes in the valley towards the surrounding mountains, so each feels private. A small tented camp shares the reserve. Solitaire, about 20 km away, is the nearest place for fuel and supplies, so arrive stocked up.
