A rafting company's base camp on the Namibian bank of the Orange River, where independent campers share the lawns with paddling groups. It suits travellers combining a border-crossing stop with a river trip or a swim.
The base camp of an Orange River rafting outfit, set on the Namibian bank about 8-10 km from the Noordoewer border post, in the old pioneering River Rafters camp. Five camping areas sit on lawns with trees, with sweeping river views, river swimming in the hot months and dark, starry skies. It is open to independent campers as well as rafting groups, so it can be lively when trips start and finish. Bring your own tent and kit; the last stretch is a short dirt road off the Rosh Pinah road.

From Noordoewer take the turn-off towards Rosh Pinah and follow the road for about 10 km; turn left at the 'BUNDI & RIVER RAFTERS' sign onto a dirt road down to the camp.
