Bush camp
Bush camping area at Zwei Zwei near Savuti, where mobile safari crews pitch their own camps in the dry heart of Chobe.
Zwezwe, more often written Zwei Zwei, is a wild camping area in the Savuti region of Chobe National Park, used by mobile safari companies as an alternative to the public Savuti campsite. Their crews arrive ahead of guests and put up the whole camp each evening, from sleeping tents to a bush shower and toilet. Days revolve around game drives on the Savuti Marsh and along the channel, famous in the dry winter months for big elephant herds and lions, with rock paintings in the Savuti Hills nearby. Reaching the area means long deep-sand 4x4 tracks from Maun via Mababe Gate or from Kasane via Ghoha Gate, and independent travellers should check with the park authorities before planning a self-drive stay here.

Deep sand on the approach roads; black cotton soil can turn boggy in the rains. Fuel and full supplies only in Maun and Kasane.
In the Savuti area of Chobe National Park, a few kilometres east of the public Savuti campsite. Savuti is about 197 km from Maun via Mababe Gate and the Sand Ridge road, or about 172 km from Kasane via Kachikau and Ghoha Gate.
