A well-placed base camp for the Okavango, run by the operator whose mokoro, flight and Moremi trips start here. Quieter and greener than the in-town Maun camps, though overland groups can liven up the evenings.
Sitatunga is the home camp of Delta Rain, a Maun safari operator running since 1997, so camping here puts you where its mokoro expeditions, Moremi day trips, scenic flights and horse rides set off. It lies on the Toteng road south-west of town, far enough out to be noticeably quieter than the in-town Maun camps, and campers spread out under large trees, with a pool and the camp restaurant to return to after a day in the Delta. Visitors tend to use it as a secure first or last night either side of the Okavango or Moremi, and mention friendly staff. Overland trucks use dedicated group sites, so pitch away from them if you want quiet evenings, and expect weak mobile signal.
