Not a campsite: Sable Alley is a luxury tented safari camp run by Natural Selection in the Khwai Private Reserve, on the north-eastern edge of the Okavango Delta between Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park. Its twelve raised canvas suites face a lily-covered lagoon linked to the Khwai River, where hippos live and elephants and buffalo come down to drink. Stays are sold as guided packages with game drives, walks and mokoro trips, usually reached by light aircraft from Maun to the Khwai airstrip. There is nowhere to pitch your own tent; self-drive campers in the area use the community campsites around Khwai village instead.
