Park conservation fees are extra, paid at the gate.
A small, unfenced Botswana-side camp near the park's southern gate, with pitches spread far apart among trees and dunes and wildlife passing through at night. It is rustic and needs full self-sufficiency, which is much of its appeal.
Rooiputs sits on the Botswana side of the Nossob valley, a short drive north of the Two Rivers / Twee Rivieren gate, which makes it an easy first or last night in the Kgalagadi. Its six pitches are spread well apart: several sit under large trees, one looks out over open red dunes and another over a small waterhole. The camp is unfenced and predators pass through at night. Water is not guaranteed and there is no power or rubbish removal, so arrive self-sufficient and take your waste out. It is popular and often booked up to a year ahead.

From the Two Rivers / Twee Rivieren gate drive about 20-25 km north up the Nossob valley road, then cross to the Botswana side to the camp.
