Shady, owner-run budget camp in a raintree grove outside Shorobe, a handy first or last night for Moremi and Khwai.
Raintree Camp is a simple, owner-run stop under big shade trees just outside Shorobe on the road between Maun and Moremi. It works best as an easy first or last night for self-drivers on a Delta or Moremi trip.
Named after the grove of raintrees that shades its pitches, Raintree Camp lies at the edge of Shorobe village, close to the tar road about half an hour north of Maun. It is a simple, relaxed stop aimed at self-drivers heading to or from Moremi, Khwai and Savuti, with a small kitchen and bar for easy evenings. Stock up in Maun, as Shorobe has very little; mokoro outings and Moremi day trips can be arranged through the owners' safari company.
