Lodge camping
Lawned campsites above the Chobe River floodplain near Kavimba, with sunset views, on the tar road between Ngoma and Savuti.
Mwandi View pairs green, shaded pitches with wide Chobe floodplain views on an easy tar road. It works well as a base for Chobe and as a stop on the way to Savuti.
A small lodge and campsite overlooking the Chobe River and its floodplain, with pitches laid out on watered lawns under Natal mahogany trees rather than the usual Botswana sand. Nights bring the sounds of the floodplain wildlife, and the main deck with its pool is the place for sundowners. It is reached on tar from Kasane (about an hour) or the Ngoma border, which makes it a natural stopover before or after Savuti. Meals and the Savuti day trip must be booked well ahead.

Tar all the way from Kasane and the Ngoma border; fuel at Muchenje about 10 km away; Kasane is the nearest ATM and supply town.
On the tar road 18 km south-west of Ngoma Gate and 4 km north of Kavimba; about an hour's drive from Kasane. Follow the tar from Ngoma, not the sandy bush route some GPS maps suggest. Coordinates S18°02.750' E024°36.057'.
