Ten shaded campsites on a raised bank above the Chobe floodplain near Ngoma gate, with sunset views over the river plains.
A family-run camp on a raised bank above the Chobe floodplain, a short drive from the park's Ngoma gate. Well-spaced, shady sites and big sunset views over the river plains set it apart.
Muchenje's campsites stand under tall flat-crowned acacias on a raised bank above the Chobe floodplain, about 7 km from the Ngoma gate on the western side of Chobe National Park. The ten level sites are set apart for privacy, each taking four to six campers, and sunset over the floodplain is the highlight of the day. The family-run property is enclosed by an electric fence. From Kasane the quickest route crosses the park on the transit road, so time your drive for gate hours; the sandy cutline from Savuti needs a high-clearance 4x4.

Main access roads suit ordinary cars; the cutline from Savuti (Ghoha Gate) is thick sand and needs a high-clearance 4x4. Avoid driving the park road after dark.
From Ngoma gate turn toward Mabele/Kavimba/Kachikau, drive 7.2 km on the tar road and turn right at the brown SADC sign. From Kasane the route crosses Chobe National Park on the transit road (gate hours apply).
