About
The campsite sits beside the gatehouse of Mogonye Gorge, a national heritage site south-west of Gaborone where a permanent spring runs through a narrow rocky gorge, and it was built by the Mogonye community. Guided walks lead up to the head of the gorge, making it a good weekend escape from the city for hikers and families. Past the gate the track is rocky and sandy with dry river crossings, so a vehicle with decent clearance helps. The gate keeps daytime hours, so arrange your stay with the gatehouse in advance.
