Kori offers some of the most sought-after wild camping in the Central Kalahari, right on Deception Valley. It suits fully self-sufficient 4x4 travellers who want privacy and open Kalahari views.
About
Kori is a cluster of four separate pitches strung along the edge of Deception Valley, one of the Central Kalahari's best game areas, about 40 km (roughly 1.5 hours of sand) inside Matswere Gate. Each pitch is booked by a single group and sits among small acacias with plenty of privacy: sites 3 and 4 are larger, sites 1 and 2 smaller with fewer trees, site 3 looks across the track to a pan, and site 4 sits on the road edge. There is no water, fuel or food in the reserve, so arrive fully self-sufficient in a 4x4.

Enter through Matswere Gate (or Tsau Gate) and follow the tracks to Deception Valley; the Kori pitches lie along a side track on the valley edge.
