About
Khwai Hippo Pool has 15 private camping areas on the Khwai River near Khwai village, alongside a small lodge, with hippos in the river in front of camp. Being in the unfenced Khwai community area next to Moremi, it gives access to the floodplains without staying inside the reserve. Campers can join the camp's game drives into Moremi, mokoro rides, San-led bush walks or a village tour. Reaching Khwai means a long drive on sand from Maun, so come in a 4x4 and stocked with fuel.
