Bush camp
Isolated two-stand DWNP camp at Khiding Pan, where the Mabuasehube Wilderness Route ends.
Park conservation fees are extra, paid at the gate.
A pitch at Khiding Pan, a two-stand DWNP camp in the Mabuasehube section of the Kgalagadi and the exit point of the Mabuasehube Wilderness Route. It is isolated and basic, chosen for solitude on the Kalahari pans rather than comfort.
Khiding is one of the quietest corners of the Mabuasehube section, with two pitches on the eastern edge of Khiding Pan, both with partial views across it, and the Mabuasehube Wilderness Route finishes here. The two sites share one toilet and shower, which may not be working, so treat them as basic. There is no fuel, shop, drinking water or phone signal anywhere in the section, so come fully self-sufficient with deflated tyres and a compressor for the sand.

4x4 only on sand tracks; deflate tyres and carry a compressor. Park speed limit 40 km/h; be in camp by gate closing time (about 18:00-19:30 depending on month).
Mabuasehube section on the eastern side of the Botswana part of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, entered at the Mabuasehube Entrance Gate. From McCarthy's Rest border post about 140 km (27 km tar, 56 km gravel, 56 km sand); last fuel at Tsabong. From Gaborone via Sekoma and the A20, then a signed sandy cutline west to the gate. From the north via Kang and Hukuntsi (about 140 km of sand and gravel from Hukuntsi). From Nossob on the South African side via the Nossob-Bosobogolo 4x4 trail (about 170 km, 5-9 hours).
