Kalahari Rest sits on a big private game farm of Kalahari bushveld beside the Trans-Kalahari Highway, a natural overnight stop between Gaborone and the Namibian border. Camping is set apart from the lodge, with each pitch serviced, and campers can eat at the lodge. Morning and afternoon game drives on the farm look for giraffe, zebra, eland and antelope. Book ahead in busy months, as it is one of the few places to stay on this long stretch.
