A well-established Panhandle riverside stop with shaded pitches along the Okavango and a lodge for meals and boat trips. It suits anglers and birders as much as overlanders passing between Namibia and Maun.
About
Drotsky's sits on the Okavango River among lawns, jackalberry trees and papyrus channels, about 10 km south of Shakawe on the Panhandle. Its 15 campsites lie along the river under big indigenous trees, and the lodge runs boat cruises, tigerfish fishing and guided walks, with rock art sites within reach. It suits anglers, birders and overlanders wanting an easy stop with lodge comforts close by; bring insect repellent for riverside evenings.
