About
Kukama (CKWIL-08) is a single wilderness site in the Kalahari bush between Matswere Gate and Deception Valley, often passed over by visitors heading for the better-known Deception sites. As a wilderness site it has no running water or electricity, so it suits fully self-sufficient campers carrying all their water and fuel. It is run by Bigfoot Tours: self-drive visitors book and pay Bigfoot first, then take that confirmation to DWNP for the reserve permit, and confirmation can take weeks.
- Quiet single-party wilderness site
- Close to Matswere Gate for a first or last night
- Within reach of Deception Valley game drives
